Katie Ball
Katie Ball is the Prevention Specialist Lead at the Neighborhood Resource Center and the Coalition Coordinator for the Bay County Prevention Network. Katie has worked with communities, youth and parents on issues affecting health and quality of life. Katie has spent time in the U.S. Military for nine years and as a Substance Abuse Counselor for 3 years prior to starting with the Neighborhood Resource Center. She is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing a wide array of programs in the arena of substance misuse prevention. Katie is a graduate of Bay City Central High School, has an associates degree in criminal justice from Delta College, she possesses a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from American Military University, and is a MCBAP certified Prevention Specialist. In her free time, she spends time with her husband, her four daughters, her son on the way, and is actively involved in her church. Katie's favorite hobby is roller derby. Kaileigh Melnik
Kaileigh Melnik is a Prevention Specialist with the Neighborhood Resource Center and a Coalition Member for the Bay County Prevention Network. Kaileigh has worked as a Prevention Specialist for 3 years now, starting soon after graduating high school. She is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing a wide array of programs in the area of substance misuse prevention. Kaileigh spends much of her time working in the schools providing evidence based curriculum to middle school students. Kaileigh is a graduate of Bad Axe High School, she attended Delta College for her Associates in Arts, and is currently attending Capella University to achieve and posses her Masters in Psychology. Kaileigh is also a Certified Prevention Specialist through MCBAP. In her free time, she spends time with her boyfriend and her family.
